So much to say

I have so much to say. I'm a dork. I was planning on blogging more consistantly, and that didn't work out too well. Ugh.

So, yes, tons to tell. Let me see...

1) Erica and I have started eating by the food pyramid. I spent hours online trying to put together a game plan. I found The Mayo Clinic's website, which gives you a chance to enter age, weight, height, etc and personalize your pyramid. I, unfortunately, have to eat the minimum amounts alotted. I'm hungry a lot, but I am getting used to it. It's going really well. I also tried to find a food pyramid for Erica and eventually found one for ages 2-6. PLUS, I found a book at the library called "Showdown at the Food Pyramid." It's hillariously funny. King Candy Bar, soda, cookie, etc, come to take over the food pyramid and kick out all the fruits and vegetables.

2) I've gotten over the novelty of Erica knowing how to talk. You know, when they first start, you just love it and keep track of all the words they learn. And then its just so exciting to hold conversations. Well, I still love holding conversations... but the kid talks nonstop. She's constantly giving commentary on life. [It is cute, though, just constantly going on and on.]

3) I'll often let Erica play by herself-- thank goodness! But I'll call to her every once in awhile to ask what she's doing. When she says: "Shhh, its a secret," I know we're in trouble.

4) Last Monday Erica and I went out to Aunt Abby and went to the zoo. It was really hot, but we had a good time. Amazingly, they had a really big playground, so we were able to take a break for awhile. I'm glad I'd had the foresight to bring lots of water bottles.

5) If you're looking for a movie to watch, I strongly recomend "Lars and the Real Girl." Its absolutely amazing. I just loved it. Loved it loved it loved it. And as a side note... has anyone else out there thought that Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds are basicly the same? Seriously. They've both played in similar type movies, their acting styles are the same, they have the same first name, and they do look a lot alike. Through most of "lars," I was thinking it was Ryan Reynolds. Nope. If you are looking for a Ryan Reynolds movie, "The Nines" is pretty good.

6) Had my dermatologist appointment last Friday. The spot on my back is OK. Good. But my point for mentioning this is that he just told me... THE SUNSCREENS I'VE BEEN USING ARE NOT PROTECTING MY SKIN FROM HARMFUL SUNRAYS THAT CAUSE SKIN CANCER! Um, okay, and why didn't you tell me this sooner? I did, by the way, have a melanoma removed? He gave me a pamphlet to look over, and told me to look for anything with zinc oxide in it. If you are interested in this at all, you can read a news report on it.

7) You can tell we live in Hicksville, right... We had a community fair recently and Andrew's friends joined in with the 'Outhouse Race.' Yes, you read that right. Outhouse. Each team of 4 was to build an outhouse... not a workable one, but a big box kinda thing. And decorate it by a theme. There's was "A Royal Flush Takes the Pot." HaHa. They decorated it with cards, and dressed up as King, Queen, Jack, and Joker. Oh dear.
Well, I'm sure that there is lots more to say. But I think I've met my time limit here. I'll try not to be gone as long next time.

I know I am in trouble when I don't hear anything and then there's no answer. It's NEVER good!

I just made a pyramid for myself. Don't know if I'll follow it though. Those pics are good. Royal Flush! :)

I think I quite like when you only blog once in awhile because your updates are packed full of stuff! I like it, I like it! Well, but we do miss you when you're "gone."

I was gonna say the same thing about the zinc oxide as debbie. I remember that is the active ingredient in Desitin. Just rub that all over ya, you'd look great! :)

Was this outhouse thing in "your town???" Cuz I live 10 minutes from you, and I've never heard of such a thing.

Hey, we have outhouse races here too! My husband so desperately wants to participate in them that I'm sure we'll be building our own outhouse sometime soon.

Hey Littlejohns! Hope you are well. I want to be in an OUTHOUSE RACE; it looks like silly, redneck fun.
