so much to say, so little time

actually, i'm not really lacking time right now. [erica's asleep and andrew's away.]

What I'm lacking is the motivation. sorry. i think i have the "christmas blues." Is that a real thing? I'm not really sure. Does anyone else experience it? Getting so stressed and overwhelmed by the holidays that you feel a bit down?

i'll come back later with some more fun and peppy things.

Well, I experience the blues more so AFTER Christmas... because it's a whole year till it comes around again. I LOVE this time of year! I'm insanely Christmas, that's for sure. BUT, in a small way I can understand what you mean... it's not AS fun as when we were kids because WE have to make things happen as moms. The kids have all the fun. But I LOVE making it happen... I love creating magical and exciting moments for my family and carrying on traditions and having everyone here for Christmas (I'm cooking for 13 this Christmas... yipes!). I guess it just depends on how you look at it.

P.S. I'm an un-inspired blogger right now too. Too busy and Reagan is recovering from his FIRST ear infection! :(

I'm with you. I have a stack of presents that need to be wrapped and I don't want to put up a tree. I'm over it this year!

clairissa-- one of the things really bumming me is that every time i try to create a "magical momment" with erica, it just goes horribly wrong. my #1 example is that when we were making cookies, she almost kissed the oven that was set at 375 degrees!

crazy me-- i'm glad i'm not the only one!

Help! Becky I have all the notes from our phone conversation about saturday . . . except the time it starts.
Am frantically writing my last paper - could you shoot me an email or comment on my xanga what time I should arrive?
Thank you!!!

Oh, and don't feel bad about the Christmas blues. I keep forgetting it's December!

Well the best thing I can say is maybe just do simple "magical moments" with Erica. Because, let's face it - at her age, it doesn't take much to be magical. Save the cookie baking for like 5 or 6 maybe. :)

We're taking Reagan to Christmas Candylane on his birthday. That could be something fun and magical to do with Erica. Just a thought - good luck! :)
