One small step for baby...

Have i told you that Erica is starting to take steps?

Her highest number so far is five. well, some of those were side-ways steps... but nonetheless, they were steps that she took without holding on to anything. At least she got somewhere. She's just so cute when she tries.

she's getting more and more confident. I dont think it'll be too long before she really starts taking off. Its so cute to watch her. The other night after dinner, i was washing up dishes and andrew was on the floor with Erica. She would stand up at the chair and try walking towards him. She would take a step or two, fall down, then crawl back to the chair, stand up, and try again. this was the occassion when she actually made it five steps. Andrew said to me: "she doesnt like me, she keeps crawling away from me." I hadnt really been paying attention, but i looked over and watched. She DID want to go to him, but she was determined to do it by walking, not crawling.

well, i need to go-- she's trying to play peek-a-boo with me!

[In the pictures: the dinosaur she got for Christmas. The leopard print shirt is too cute (i think). its too big for her, but i still like it. And those jeans are oh-so-stylish too. Also, i promised before that i'd show a picture of all of her shoes. You cant really tell, but the one in the back is brown, not black. It actually is more like a fancy sneaker, not a really dressy shoe.)

Thats good news!! But also lots of work. You'll have to keep an eye on her all the time once she learns to walk properly :)
