Proactive or Impulsive?

At Erica's dance class last night, she didn't dance... Instead, she chewed on her hair the entire time. I was getting more and more upset and annoyed. And I told her to stop doing it and dance instead. OR ELSE...

So, I was just so sick and tired of always trying to get her to stop doing it. So after class, I took her straight to a haircutter. And now she can't reach any of her hair to her mouth.

The End of problem.

So, was I being proactive? Or just impulsive?

I know this is an old post, but I had it starred in my reader and just now finally got back to going through them. I wanted to give my two cents though. I am raising two boys and watching my friend raise three girls. She is constantly fighting with her middle daughter with getting her hair done in the morning, but she doesn't cut it because her daughter wants long hair. Since I don't have daughters, I can only give my opinion. But if long hair is becoming a problem, I think you make the only wise decision to cut it until they're old enough to be responsible with it. (This coming from the mom who keeps both of her boys' heads practically shaved LOL)

I forgot to say, the cut is adorable on her.
