Makeup Monday

I used to do "makeup monday," where I'd catch up on what happened over the weekend. Golly, but today's Tuesday. Oops.

We had a good weekend. Went well. Started with a 'date night' Friday. Andrew's parents watched Erica so that the two of us could go out. It was nice. We went to a small pizza place then went to see a movie. Our little town's rinky-dink theatre was only playing one movie: Iron Man. I was not too thrilled about seeing it. [About time alone with Hubby, YES. But not that particular film.] I'm not a huge Robert Downing Jr fan. And not a big fan of some of the 'marvel comic' movies. They're often too fake and unbelievable.

Well, Iron Man was GREAT. I recomend it to you. It was much more 'believable' than lots of other comic-based movies. And the one thing I really liked about it was the change you saw in the lead character. He started the movie as a real jerk kinda guy, but after an "a-ha" moment, really changed around.

Saturday was nothing much. A lot of cleaning and gardening.

Sunday was quite eventful. We traveled over to New Jersey for my cousin Dan's senior recital. He's a percussionist, and apparently very good, but I'd never heard him play before. I was so glad we went. He really was great. I'm very proud of my little cuz.

I had every intention of being more descriptive, but I"m at the library and my laptop battery is about to die.

Maybe I'll go see the movie. It's been ages since I've even bothered going to the movies.

I was curious about that movie. Noah got a toy from Burger King about Iron Man and was asking about it. I told him I needed to see it first.

Silverneurotic- There haven't been too many movies out recently that had really caught my attention. Like I had said, I hadn't thought this one would be good either, but ended up enjoying it

kristi- I think it might be too much for younger kids. It did bother me that BK was giving out toys based on the movie... though not as tickes as I was when they gave out Simpsons toys [But thats another story...]

corinne- HI! Sorry I haven't stopped by in awhile. Oops

My husband's been bugging me to go see Ironman, and I really didn't want to. But since I've heard it's quite good, I may have to give it a try.
