everytime i think we've gotten past this...

ughhh...

So, erica has been doing so much better in NOT undressing in the middle of the night. i thought she'd past that phase. well, last night i went in just to make sure... the first thing i saw was her baby doll on the floor-- not a good sign. Also her blanket. and one other thing was on the floor-- i couldnt tell what it was.

HER DIAPER! ughhh... not good. I peered in the crib... indeed, she was curled up in the buff. ughhh...

thankfully, she didnt wake up completely when i dressed her again. she did cry and complain, but once i put her back to bed, she fell right asleep.

this brings me to another topic. if you don't care to hear about erica's potty training, just skip the rest. i know, it may be a bit TMI...

I'd talked before about her potty experiences, and how i had to hide the potty b/c it was just not going well... Anyway, she has developed this strong affinity towards underwear. So, i had an odd idea, and thought to go ahead with it. everyone [including Hubby] thought i was crazy. BUT ITS WORKING!!!

i bought her "panies" of her own. [thats what she calls them.] And it works like this: if she tells me right away when she peepees or poopoos, then she can wear them on top of her diaper. However, if she doesnt tell me, then she cant wear them until the next time.

ITS WORKING!!! of course, i'm not going to pull the potty out yet. But this is a step in the right direction. She's starting to pay more attention to her bodily functions. Hopefully soon, she'll be able to tell when its about to happen, not waiting till afterwards.

Well, darling just woke up. So i need to get her. Maybe she'll have her clothes all on...

Wow Becky! I think that's a brilliant idea. Fantastic that it's working.
We're having a tough time with Riley. Since the new sister is in the house he's feeling left out and he's pushing every button he can for attention. He gets more attention not peeing in the potty than he does when he goes. Sigh. He'll get past it.
Absolute best of luck with Erica. I think she's doing well and you're doing better. :)
